a slow sunday, and it was a raining one.
sort of wrapped up the week pretty early with a massage in the afternoon.
then soon after that, sat quietly in front of the computer doing some work.

today finally i went to the church for the first time in many weeks.
though i was a little bit distracted during the service,
i am still grateful for the service.

right before the pastor finished preaching,
he told us how unpredictable life can be.
and, as you can expect, he gave an example of a healthy person passing away.
normal, cliche.
all was normal except that this time it is someone that my family knows.
he was a full-timer in my church.

his name is Tarigan. he is my John the Baptist.
i still can remember quite vividly the time i took the step, approaching the pond he was in.
i am sure he had baptized hundreds of people before me,
yet he still showed that satisfaction after the dip.

and, my own baptism is surely one of the rarest, most awesome events in my life.
i am not writing it for the sake of writing it.
there was really a weird something happening that day.
i can't tell you exactly what, but it was just magical.
we are surely going to miss you sir.

and, lastly, when i was going out of the church,
i was passed with the invitation to join the teen service.
ha! what a compliment to end the week!
thank you boy.
