phew, finally i've got time to write something, and time to finish this off! hehe.
---
the remaining of the characters were played rather similar to the original one, except for the father's role. the father sang! and, at times, it felt like it was a four-lead-characters drama as the father often took the centre stage.
overall, the experience was something similar to the one when you watch a movie that you have watched hundreds of times. you know what is coming, line by line!
the climax of the experience would be when the show reaching the curtain call routine. first, when i saw the relieved expression of the casts when they delivered the final song, it brought all the memory back. and of all, it is the memory when you feel relieved, happy and sad at the same time as all the long journey has ended.
and the real climax was when i and janette were asked to come on stage as part of the original crews! the casts were already up on the stage, and we were somewhat like the last piece and sort of "save the best for the last" chunk of meat.
we stood up, and i heard the noise went from noisy to deafening. and, it blanked my mind at once. i just forced myself walk up the stage with janette and there i stood like a stone-statue. it was a really humbling experience. i tried to force a cute smile, and i think i pulled a rather sour and crooked smile.
really thank God for the great experience with the singapore mencari putri crews. i was made like hugh jackman watching someone doing jean valejean. and that very night, i was reminded how awful the packed practices were, tough the directors were, and yet how i loved doing it and will always love doing it! so, perhaps in another time folks? ;)
