Medan is surely one of the most underrated cities in indonesia.
not sure why, but i could think of a few reasons.
unfriendly traffic (worse than jakarta), hot weather (hotter than jakarta),
and some of the notorious business partners, some might tell you, come from here.
last but not least, it is not 300km away from jakarta.
but for me, it is surely one of those food heaven.
of all things there, i want to talk about one, Ruby Sparks.
she does not speak Hokkian though as you could guess.
it's a movie. a great movie in fact.
it is a fiction and it gets only as close as pokemon to the reality.
yet, it depicts so much reality in it.
you really should watch it if you havent.
the lead actor, calvin, really speaks out loud what i am thinking,
or perhaps many guys (or even girls) out there are thinking.
to make it even cooler, the story is written by Zoe Kazan, the lead actress of the movie.
and she happens to be the partner of Calvin in real life too.
well, the latter info would not sit well with Zoe's male fans though.
it is so good until it makes me want to write some stories too!!
so, if i really do, don't freak out! :p
