mencari putri jakarta edition part one

i believe most of you know what is mencari putri. but, for the sake of the lost souls that just landed here, i will briefly talk about it.

so, mencari putri is one of my church's musical production. it is basically a musical drama, and i was part of it...

well, i had tried to fill up more descriptions up there, but i am running out of words. so, as usual, i went to google my way through. and, to my surprise, i was surprised! ha! wondering why? why don't you google it now?!

my first page result here showed interesting returns. i saw my brother's post. i saw an attempt to sell the tickets in the kaskus by one of my friends. and, also some good souls posting on their blogs for the show. it surely evoked a strong funny feeling in the stomach.

so, the show was two years ago, in 2011. just like anything else, things are forgotten after a while. but, mencari putri (MP) surely has its own way to surface up back in our memories. somehow, this our little darling, somehow caught attention of one of the community in Jakarta, and they decided to breathe life to the story at least for one more time.

they are "Heart of The King" (HOTK). and, thanks to them, if you google MP now, you will find many references and pictures. and, thanks to instagram (although i dont own any account there), i can see some of the pictures from the crews. my fellow crews have a look (http://pagespeed.5thvillage.com/HOTK/)! a little bit of reminiscing pill is always good. ;)

so, cut the story short, the last friday, i was lucky enough to get a vip ticket to watch the musical. and, vip here means the very first row, which is AWESOME! thanks HOTK! :)

the experience is surreal. to date, i haven't watched my own performance on the first MP. and, now, watching someone doing my line, and others doing my friends' lines. it was goosebumps all over.

the script was adjusted here and there for many reasons. there are few adjustments that i really like. the fact that panca-panci are twin-girls is a smart move. i did not expect that, a brave move paid off!

the anastasia (tini/chou jin jit) was a korean-freak, so, as expected, she speaks a lil bit korean. cool! the assistant director played as a china-girl that always appears in many scenes. and, whenever the actor has to communicate with the china girl, she speaks chinese that really sounds like the real china-accent. i always like this sort of joke. brilliant!

i am really sorry that i have to stop here for now. i want to finish the whole post off, but i think it is going to be very long to read. i hate long reading. besides, it is 3 am in the morning. ciao belli! :)
