jackie evancho and the things they say in hollywood

thanks to mr billy from TLG for his post on this girl, jackie evancho. she is apparently a big boom in US there when i know nothing about her. and to my surprise, she was the runner up of one of the american got talent seasons, which the british franchise is my favorite show.

thinking that AGT is just a copycat of the original, and it often doesn't give as much warmth as compared to its british counterpart, i often regarded this american show is somewhat below-par show. so, i give no time to AGT.

next! she is actually the opera-style singer that i have never been a fan of. paul potts for example, i don't like him. it is not that i can sing better than them, it is just not what i like thanks to the less clarity of the words pronounced in this genre.

however, the very first song i heard her singing caught my attention. perhaps, it is due to her cute look and catchy tone of the song. and, of course, she is apparently from a christian family. we worship the same God.

then, i came across her interview with piers morgan, my fellow arsenal supporter and jackie's judge in AGT. so, they seemed like deserving my few minutes. then i watched. i know that piers is a good interviewer, and i believe jackie would answer some nonsense hollywood stars' template answers.

hmmph, i am not allowed to embed the video, but i try my best to share here. if you still can't watch, just go straight away to youtube.

in the interview, you will hear piers asking her a question. it is a very common question in got talent show. it is a rhetoric one, and if you have watched the show for a while, you actually know that it often does not need answer.

piers asked, "where does this voice come from? 11-year-old doesn't usually sing like that". well, then, as expected from a star, she would be delivering that bullshit answer, "thanks to my mum", "a lot of hard practices", or "i don't know (which actually means: i am just good, idiot!)".

and, right to the spot, she nailed it, "hmmm. i believe it comes from...", she continued, "God".

i was stunned. i did not see it coming. the interview itself most likely is scripted, but it doesn't matter. she must have great parents. and, from minutes that i am thinking i am going to waste, i used one or two hours.

from one video to the other, and she is surely the singer at the moment on my macbook. kina grannis lost after few weeks of domination.

she is now 13 years old, and a lot bigger than what you saw in the video. she is no longer that cute, but she is still jackie evancho.

she was born in 2000, which makes us exactly one cycle of chinese zodiac away. i guess, waiting her to grow up might be a good idea. with same zodiac, surely we will have a lot of good chemistry and luck. this seems like a sure-way to a prosperous family.

joke aside, i really really hope that she is the real deal. i hope she would stay humble. i hope her parents would guide her good. i really hope in the name of the only truth, Jesus, you will go on and go tell it on the mountain!

please, really please don't wreck any ball.

and, apparently september has ended, and no one woke me up. december is around the corner, so i'll just leave you with this to give a good warm-up for christmas.

and also cute jackies!

and lastly, a gift for my little angel!
lots of kisses muach!

Yes of course say god did it. That's what all Xians say when they don't understand something.

But which god? Was it the Father? Was it the Son? Or was it the Holy Ghost?

Do you know? You say you worship the same god as the Evanchos(they're Catholic). Can you figure it out?

it makes my statement that she is from a christian family wrong, doesn't it? i am really sorry about that.

hopefully, it can create a small publicity stunt. just like what they usually do in hollywood. hehe.
