RRRIIVALLL

i used to have rivals during my school life. the rivalry was in, i know it will sound boring, school's grade.

one thing that is very certain is that the rivals kept changing as i grew older. some went to different schools. some went downhill in their study as they prioritized different things as they aged. and, for some, i couldn't keep up with them as they became smarter and more hardworking.

but, i have these two rivals that are quite special to me. one of them asked me to promise her that one day i would pass her in academic matter. and, it did not happen at all during the secondary. we were united again in university. i don't know whether she still remembers that promise or not. but, it doesn't matter now as she scored magna cum laude and i am not even close to mere cum laude.

the other rival is a real rival during the secondary. we competed quite fiercely in academic. and we even extended our rivalry to football pitch! it was a shame though that he injured his ankle once and he has never been the same player again! and, the same thing happened to our rivalry in academic as apparently i get worse in school as i age.

and why suddenly i bring up them?

they are both getting married. not to each other though. but, still they are getting married next year. actually the marriages themselves don't bother me as much as another thing currently does.
but, the fact that time really flies does bother me.

and, if they have other similarities other than their enviable intelligence is that they were both born in 28 October 1987.

i hate to play the Gai Sensei role. but, anyway, congratulations RIVALS!

yea that crossed my mind too.
perhaps, you can try to see if there is any delayed effect like when you reach their age. so, it's like 2016? :p
