if shen chia yi

i like to think that our lives are like a mathematic function.
something like y = ax + b.
but a more complex one.
probably we have x, z, p, q and many more.
and they are all to the power of 3 or even more.
and with some square root or things like that.

and imagine those complicated functions,
and then all your decisions every second result into other things.
it is like your actions are the variables in the formula.
do you get it?

and, thousand of occurrences happen every day, month, year.
and millions of possibilities you can have.

it's like if i decide on continuing on whatsapp then this will happen.
if i read news, then this will happen.
if i decide to just sleep, then that will happen.

take shen chia yi as an example.
if the writer did get shen chia yi in the real world,
he would not have become a writer.
if he is not a writer, we would not know a piece called apple of my eyes
if there is no that piece, i would not know michelle chen.
i would not fall in love for the second time for taiwan.

so missing out on shen chia yi,
is it a good thing for the writer?
perhaps, you will say yes like i will.
but, we'll never know.

we just know that, it was done.
it was already in the formula.
shaping his destiny.
and also perhaps our destiny.

and one more thing,
if just one of the things did not happen,
then that's it. i wouldn't know Michelle.

you might say it is utterly that mathematically coincidental event.
but, i would rather believe the other way.
it has never been a coincidence.
